What an incredible B&B!

What an incredible B&B! My husband and I and our pup had the most amazing stay at Catskill Animal Sanctuary. The rooms are gorgeous and the house is incredible. We spent our days there visiting the amazing animals on the sanctuary, relaxing in the house, and exploring nearby towns (with great restaurant recommendations by our hosts)! Alex was an amazing host. We really can't recommend this place enough!

AMAZING! The perfect getaway for all seasons.

Where to begin? The house/"Homestead" was built in 1813 and is in pristine condition. Fireplaces, wood floors, adorable and comfortable rooms, nice views, clean. It's a quiet getaway on a little road (but also extremely close to everything you might want in Kingston, Rhinebeck, Bard College area, Woodstock, Hunter Mt, etc.). The vegan breakfast is DELICIOUS and bountiful. The staff are exceptionally helpful, friendly and easy-going. And no one is trying to push their agenda on you; though they are happy to answer questions you may have about veganism. Unlike regular visitors, as a Homestead guest, you can roam the spacious grounds until animal bedtime (around 7:00 P.M.) and spend alone time with the animals as you wish. You are allowed to access areas closed to regular visitors (good because sometimes that is where the animals are). Tours will inform you of the animals' breeds, lives, etc. But all of the staff are friendly and willing to answer questions about the many goats, sheep, pigs, birds, horses, cows, etc. at any time. I truly fell in love with this peaceful, relaxing and kindhearted place. These animals melted my heart with their willingness to just be loved and give love; despite what they have been through. They are an inspiration. And so are the dedicated staff. I was a vegetarian before, but now am full vegan--thanks to my experience at the Catskill Animal Sanctuary and Homestead. No one tried to convince me to become a vegan. All I had to do was spend time with the animals. Looking for a peaceful, magical getaway in nature with animal friends? Look no further.
